Anna Koski’s background blends over 15 years of design and product development experience for US brands, creating top- performing collections for baby, kids and women’s, through innovation, creative storytelling, and commercial expertise. A strong eye for color, trend, and prints, with financial awareness to create collections that are cost-conscious and on-brand. Expert training in sweaters and knit design with experience in all other design categories including soft and hard woven collections. A versatile designer known for her elevated taste level leading concept and presentation, fabric development, garment construction and detail, sketching, wash and dye development to the fitting of garments and sizing.
A consistent thread throughout her career has been her ability to create successful brands from the ground-up. She was an influential part of a small design team that launched the kids wear collection, 77kids for American Eagle Outfitters before moving over to Juicy Couture to design the girls’ line and relaunch the women’s knit business. She designed and launched the Sally M collection of girl’s apparel for JCPenney, working with the brand’s founder on a core collection of dresses, knits, denim, and outerwear. She currently leads a team as design director for Hart+Land, a private label brand for The Tot that she launched in 2018. A core organic collection of baby essentials that quickly grew into multiple lines of kids wear and women’s clothing.
Educated in the UK, Anna graduated from The University of Brighton in 2005 with first class honors in Fashion Textiles & Business Studies, specializing in sweater design. She interned in NYC for Theory in 2004. In 2005 she began her career in London working for Sophie Stellar, a knitwear studio, knitting and selling swatches to diverse fashion companies in Europe and the US, this led her back to New York.
Whilst Anna is not designing you can find her at the beach, surfing, running, hiking in the mountains, or sipping an oat milk matcha latte.
